Sara Tasker (210K FOLLOWERS) believes social media isn't ruining your life - in fact, she thinks it can transform it for the better. Hashtag Authentic draws on the lessons Sara has learned over the past 5 years online, to provide you with the essential tips, strategies and guidance on growing an online audience with heart.
Sara Tasker is a photographer and writer living in the Yorkshire hills.
A lifelong lover of photography, she switched to using her iPhone & Instagram to document her daily life whilst pregnant with her first child three years ago. Within six months, she’d attracted over 40k followers, and now works full time combining her love of styling, words and photography to create for a range of blogs, brands and publications.
Sara is drawn to the moments in everyday life where magical meets mundane, and is passionate about creating imagery that holds narrative and meaning. She finds that photography and Instagram accounts can work as a self-discovery tool, challenging the limits of our creativity and helping us to see what stands between us and our own success.
Since moving from the city to the countryside last year, Sara and her family have worked to slow down and live more mindfully, though this still feels impossibly difficult most days! She records her experiences & adventures on her blog, Me & Orla, as well as her daily Instagram shares.
In addition to her creative work, Sara mentors in iPhotography and Instagram to a wide range of creative and professional clients, helping people develop their photographing style and connect with their true audience. She’s currently writing her first e-course, and teaches small workshops at her home studio in Yorkshire as well as other small venues around the UK.
Juggling motherhood and her creative business challenges Sara daily, but she would not miss out on either adventure for all the world. Travelling, meeting with clients and public speaking have all pushed her to step outside of her comfort zones and sent her down unexpected paths that she’s previously have never dared take – from photography for billboards to appearing on BBC Radio 4.
Sara’s session will focus on phone photography and visual storytelling for both Instagram and blogs.
